Biotechnology Specialist

“I have learned how to provide the best strategy to the client based on the clients' need and point of view to solve the problems. It also makes me happy when I receive their approval for my work.”

How was Japan in reality to what you had imagined before you arrived?

Pretty much the same as what I have expected before I arrived, e.g., well-organized, very convenient transportation and high technology.

How would you describe co-workers?

Smart, hard-working, fun, and friendly.

When I am not at work, I am

exploring places in and around Osaka or trying new Japanese food as much as I can.

Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?

Definitely. I have learned how to provide the best strategy to the client based on the clients' need and point of view to solve the problems. It also makes me happy when I receive their approval for my work.

What were the initial difficulties of adjusting to life in Osaka?

Definitely the language barrier. I have never thought that communication in Japan would be very difficult by relying on English, even when doing simple tasks such as ordering food at a restaurant or buying groceries in the store.

What have been your three fondest leisure experiences in Japan?

Disneyland, travelling around Japan and eating Japanese food!

What are the challenging aspects of your work?

I think the amount of work as well as time management are always the biggest challenges, especially during the busiest period. However, I learn to manage my time better, to prioritize the work based on the urgency and not be overwhelmed by the amount of work I have to get done by the end of the day.

I am looking forward to

watch the 2020 Olympics live!!

Of all the adjectives floating in your brain, give us three that best describe your life in Japan?

Enjoyable, Challenging and Fulfilling.

What attributes do you believe will make a recruit succeed at work in the Firm?

I think having an open mindset and keep-on-going attitude will definitely help to overcome the challenges you’re going to face on a daily basis.

What three words describe the Firm best? First in English, then in your mother tongue

Professional, Speed and Quality - Profesional, Kecepatan dan Kualitas.
