How was working in Osaka in reality to what you had imagined before you arrived?

Osaka was a friendlier place and less rushed than I had imagined it to be compared to Tokyo, which was where I stayed for a year.

Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?

Of course. I know our firm works towards ensuring that our clients' hard work gets the proper recognition it deserves and bringing those inventions one step closer to benefiting society.

What are the challenging or difficult aspects of your work?

A challenging aspect of the work is adjusting to the Japanese work culture. Great importance is put into work quality and everyone must have excellent attention to detail. I appreciate that regardless of the high expectations, everyone is friendly and willing to help.

How would you describe your co-workers?

Efficient, reliable, and easy to work with.

What is the most important thing that working at the Firm has taught you about yourself?

The most important thing the firm has taught me is confidence in myself and in my work output. I have taken on constructive criticism and have used that into improving myself daily.

What would you say makes someone successful at the Firm; and more specifically, what factors have made you successful at Firm?

I would say a person able to work in a team, able to take criticism and can work in a meticulous environment would make someone successful at the Firm. Specifically, I would not consider myself "successful" at the Firm yet but I believe factors that may lead towards that success would be conscionable performance and maintaining a positive outlook.

What is the best thing about being a part of a global team?

What was the most pleasant surprise you experienced at work?

A vending machine in the office.

What is your most treasured possession that you've obtained during your stay in Japan thus far and why?

My most treasured possession would be my memories of all the experiences I have had so far during my stay in Japan. I have learned so much about myself and about others in this country. Good or bad, I treasure all of them equally and they will definitely stay with me for a lifetime.
